Support Brightshores Health System with complex building systems, hospital equipment, and computer-based control platforms in Owen Sound. This full-time position serves all sites.
Reporting to the Director, Facilities Management, the Engineering Technologist supports building system operation, maintenance, and improvement. The work includes asset management systems, energy management, building performance, and technical development. You will research standards, codes, regulations, technical literature, and manufacturers’ data for policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Support complex building system maintenance and operations
Improve hospital equipment and building system performance
Utilize computer-based control and asset management systems
Research standards, codes, and regulations




Develop policies and procedures for engineering services
Requirements: Three- or four-year engineering, building, or computer science credential
Five years’ recent complex building systems experience
Systems development, process engineering, and quality control experience
Advanced database, spreadsheet, and word processing skills
Valid driver’s licence, vehicle access, and travel availability
Apply engineering technology, systems development, and regulatory research skills to support protected, reliable Brightshores facilities.
