Lead hydrometallurgical refinery operations for Electra Battery Materials, applying production leadership and process expertise to safe, efficient performance. This vacancy carries an annual base salary range of $140,000-$170,000.
Reporting to the Refinery General Manager and Commissioning Leader, the Operations Manager oversees daily production and operational objectives. The position coordinates Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Laboratory, and Logistics while supporting commissioning, start-up, and optimization. It also advances safety, environmental compliance, throughput, recovery, reliability, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities: Lead safe, efficient, environmentally responsible refinery operations
Oversee production activities, quality, and business objectives
Coordinate departments supporting refinery performance and delivery




Implement improvement strategies for throughput, recovery, and efficiency
Lead commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and corrective actions
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or diploma with extensive relevant experience
Minimum 10 years’ hydrometallurgy, processing, or refining experience
Minimum 5 years’ production or refinery leadership experience
Understanding of leaching, extraction, precipitation, crystallization, and filtration
Robust leadership, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
