Lead financial planning and reporting for York Region in Newmarket, coordinating budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and accounting services within a hybrid-eligible workplace.
Reporting to the Manager, Finance, Budget and Business Planning, this temporary full time Supervisor oversees financial management services for an assigned portfolio and consolidated Department. The work supports internal and external partners through financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, analysis, and program accounting services. You will also serve as a key liaison for internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate multi-year budgeting and business planning processes
Prepare financial, performance, and KPI reports
Coordinate transactional accounting, procurement, and credit cards




Support internal and external financial audits
Develop process and audit controls safeguarding Regional assets
Requirements: University degree in business, economics, finance, or equivalent
Certified Professional Accountant registration in Ontario
Three years’ senior financial experience in a large organization
One year of demonstrated people leadership experience
Financial planning, reporting, analysis, forecasting, and project management experience
Apply financial leadership, accounting expertise, and analytical skills to support York Region’s Public Works Finance and Performance services.
