Lead utilities operations at Suncor’s Base Plant in Fort McMurray using field leadership and process safety expertise. Work a 6 on, 6 off rotation.
This Team Lead supports, coaches, and develops a high-performing operations team in an oil and gas workplace. You will influence operational results, optimize production, and improve equipment reliability. The position requires supervisory experience, maintenance knowledge, and a 2nd Class Power Engineering certification.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee unionized crews under the collective bargaining agreement
Maintain field presence and assess work process effectiveness
Implement Alberta Boilers Safety Association regulations
Lead troubleshooting for operational and equipment problems




Prepare and review operational job plans
Requirements: Five or more years of utilities or oil and gas operations experience
Supervisory or leadership experience in complex operating environments
Deep understanding of maintenance, operations, and process safety
2nd Class Power Engineering certification
Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record
Apply utilities leadership, process safety, and troubleshooting expertise while supporting Suncor operations at Fort McMurray Base Plant.
