This senior contract role combines production mobile development with wearable research and evidence-based product decisions. You will work directly with the founder, owning the React Native/Expo app, Supabase/Postgres backend, local-first data, sensor ingestion, and ML evaluation. Hands-on technical design, SQL, APIs, authorization, statistics, and practical React/TypeScript are central to the work.
Key Responsibilities: Own app release, monitoring, and day-to-day operation
Build reliable sync, access control, and sensor ingestion
Design wearable measurement and machine learning experiments
Turn validated findings into coaching features




Review AI-assisted code and maintain reproducible decisions
Requirements: Production mobile app shipping and post-launch support experience
Personally built and evaluated applied machine learning systems
Robust backend, SQL, API, authorization, and React skills
Python, statistics, calibration, leakage, and reference error knowledge
Usually six-plus years owning technical design and delivery decisions
Lead Bells of Steel’s app, data pipeline, and machine learning calls through Calgary’s hybrid contract schedule.
