Our client is a well-established organization within Ottawa's plumbing, heating, HVAC and mechanical industry, supporting contractors throughout the region with products, technical expertise and custom fabrication services.
They are currently looking for an experienced Licensed 308A Sheet Metal Worker / Tinsmith to join their Ottawa fabrication team on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is a shop-based position focused on the manufacture of standard and custom sheet metal ductwork and HVACponents.

Permanent salary of $113,000 per year Double-time overtime at $108.60/hour for hours worked beyond 40 40 guaranteed hours per week Monday to Thursday: 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Friday: 6:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 4 weeks' vacation from the outset, increasing to 5 weeks with service 6 paid sick days annually RRSP program: Employee contributes 3%, employer contributes 5% Profit-sharing program, with recent annual payouts around $4,000–$5,000, although amounts are not guaranteed Adaptable medical, dental, disability and life insurance benefits Three different benefit coverage levels available Health Care Spending Account Employer/employee co-pay benefits arrangement What You'll Be Doing: Fabricate standard and custom HVAC sheet metal ductwork, fittings andponents Manufacture transitions, elbows, offsets and other custom sheet metal products Read and interpret drawings, sketches, plans, measurements and fabrication specifications Lay out, measure, mark, cut, form, bend, assemble and finish sheet metalponents Operate sheet metal fabrication machinery,
hand tools and power tools safely and accurately Inspectpleted work to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality Identify and correct fabrication issues where required Provide practical guidance and hands-on support to apprentices and helpers Maintain a clean, organized and safe shop environment Follow established health and safety procedures What We're Looking For: Valid Ontario 308A Sheet Metal Worker Certificate of Qualification Previous experience in HVAC sheet metal and ductwork fabrication Strong sheet metal layout, forming and assembly skills Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, measurements and specifications Experience operating sheet metal fabrication machinery and equipment Strong measuring, numerical and spatial abilities Excellent attention to detail andmitment to quality workmanship Ability to identify and resolve fabrication issues Strongmunication and teamwork skills Why Join?
