Job Summary: The Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist is responsible for planning, designing, executing, and documenting quality assurance and testing activities for corrections-related software systems, including OTIS and YOTIS.

This role ensures solutions meet business, technical, security, privacy, accessibility, and operational requirements through comprehensive testing and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities: Develop QA strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test data.

Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and regression test cycles.

Perform functional, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, and accessibility testing.

Identify, document, track, and resolve application defects and issues.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement code fixes for defects and production issues.

Support troubleshooting, break/fix activities, and maintenance of application integrations and interfaces.

Develop and maintain reusable testing frameworks and automation solutions.

Participate in code reviews ensuring adherence to coding and quality standards.

Support deployment activities and release validation testing.

Produce testing, technical, operational, and knowledge transfer documentation.

Develop quality metrics, status reporting, and process improvement recommendations.

Ensure compliance with security, privacy, accessibility, architecture, and operational standards.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, developers, architects, and project teams throughout delivery lifecycle.





Required Skills: Proven experience in developing and executing test strategies, plans, cases, scripts, and test data.

Strong application development, coding, troubleshooting, debugging, and defect resolution skills.

Familiarity or ability to learn SOLGEN Corrections applications and integrations, including OTIS and YOTIS.

Experience with Azure DevOPS, .NET technologies (ASP.NET, ADO.NET, .NET framework), C#, Entity Framework, ReactJS, HTML/CSS/Java

Script, and SQL Database.

Certification or demonstrated knowledge of current IT technology standards and application testing and development concepts.

Desired Skills: Experience developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts and regression test cycles.

Knowledge of defect tracking, root cause analysis, defect management, and resolution processes.

Understanding of Ministry of the Solicitor General (SOLGEN) Corrections services and public safety implications.

Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, and Dev

Ops methodologies.

Experience preparing technical, testing, and operational documentation.





Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Ability to maintain current knowledge of IT trends and advances across computing platforms.
