The National Research Council of Canada seeks a Director for its Prevention and Field Operations Directorate. This continuing MGT-1 position provides strategic and operational leadership within the Health, Safety and Environment Branch. You will oversee PFO Managers, policy instruments, compliance systems, and high-quality services supporting NRC operations. Success requires leadership, collaboration, and comprehensive health, safety, and environmental knowledge. Key Responsibilities:





Lead the Prevention and Field Operations Directorate Oversee PFO Managers across the Council Direct occupational safety and environmental stewardship activities Implement policy instruments and compliance systems Report on health, safety, and environmental compliance Requirements:

University degree in a related recognized field Experience managing human and financial resources Experience leading comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs Experience developing policies, procedures, and supporting systems Thorough security clearance process, including ten-year background verification Apply strategic leadership, risk mitigation, and stakeholder collaboration to advance NRC occupational health, safety, and environmental stewardship.
