Qualifications: Minimum of Grade 12 diploma from a recognized educational institution or General Education Development (GED) is preferred; Fireman’s Certificate, First Aid/CPR, WHMIS or willingness to obtain;Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning processes, products and equipment;Demonstrated knowledge of basic building maintenance procedures, tools and equipment;Strong communication skills;Ability to work as part of a team;Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;Ability to deal with a broad range of students, staff and members of the general public;Ability to work in varied climates and conditions which may include: confined spaces, dust, vapours,



fumes or slippery surfaces;Good physical condition;Ability to exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally;Ability to exert up to 50 lbs of force frequently; Ability to exert up to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.

Duties (may include but are not limited to):Daily cleaning and disinfecting when students are in attendance

Special cleaning during school breaks

Minor repairs and maintenance

Operating mechanical equipment such as snow blower, lawn mower, power scrubber etc.
