**Job Title: Production Coordinator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a Production Coordinator who will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating the flow of work within or between departments of a manufacturing plant to expedite production.

The role involves reviewing master production schedules and work orders, establishing priorities for specific customer orders, and revising schedules according to work order specifications, established priorities, and the availability or capability of workers, parts, materials, machines, and equipment.

The Production Coordinator will also be responsible for rescheduling identical processes to eliminate duplicate machine setups and distributing work orders to departments, denoting the number, type, and proposed completion date of units to be produced.
**Responsibilities**
Conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and provide information on changes to work.

Compiling reports concerning progress of work and downtime due to failures of machines and equipment to apprise production planning personnel of production delays.

Maintaining inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production.

Expediting materials and production of parts, establishing delivery dates for orders.

Coordinating and expediting work.

Providing lead times upon P/O confirmation to the sales group.

Utilizing computer systems to track and locate parts and inventory, with Sys

Pro experience considered an asset.
**Essential Skills**
Experience in production scheduling and planning.

Data entry and ERP systems knowledge.

Supply chain management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Order entry and inventory management.

Minimum 2-3 years experience managing schedules, workflow, safety, personnel, and equipment.

Familiarity with production methods, materials, and final products in the industry.

Solid understanding of engineering principles and drafting procedures.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Mechanical Technologist/Manufacturing Technologist certification.

Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and make judgment calls in a quick-paced environment.

Team capabilities for long-term success in assembly, manufacturing, welding, fabrication.

Manufacturing Technologist or additional schooling.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a heavy industrial jobbing shop with a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Surrey, BC.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
