**Job Description**
This night-shift role involves operating straightforward, repetitive production processes to manufacture stainless steel tubing for automotive applications.

You will work as a general labourer or bend cell operator, performing one or multiple steps such as loading tubes into machines, monitoring automated bending operations, and completing basic finishing tasks to ensure high-quality parts.
**Responsibilities**
Perform general labour tasks on the production line, focusing on a single process on the tube such as loading it into a deburring machine, perforator, or other single-process equipment.

Operate basic production machinery safely and efficiently, following established work instructions and quality standards.

Work as a bend cell operator when required by loading tubes into the robotic bend cell and monitoring the automated bending process to ensure tubes are formed to the specified shape.

Handle tubes after bending by performing additional processes such as cutting, deburring, and washing to prepare parts for the next stage of production.

Conduct basic quality inspection using measurement tools to confirm that tubes meet required specifications and tolerances.

Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area throughout the shift.

Collaborate closely with team members in groups of 35 to coordinate tasks, support each others work, and maintain steady production flow.

Report any equipment issues, quality concerns, or production delays promptly to the appropriate contact so they can be addressed quickly.

Complete repetitive tasks with consistency and attention to detail to support efficient, high-volume manufacturing.
**Essential Skills**
At least 1 year of manufacturing experience, including exposure to quality or measurement tools.

Proven experience as a machine operator or general labourer in a production environment.

Background in automotive manufacturing or metal industry production.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus, accuracy, and productivity.

Comfort with basic quality inspection and measurement to verify part conformity.

Consistent work history, typically with a minimum of one year in previous roles and clear reasons for job changes.

Reliable attendance and the ability to work night shifts on a regular basis.

Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work closely with others in small groups.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience working with stainless steel or similar metal tubing in a manufacturing setting.

Familiarity with deburring, cutting, washing, or other finishing processes for metal parts.

Exposure to robotic or automated equipment, such as robotic bend cells, is an asset.

Ability to follow standardized work instructions and adapt to different stations or processes as needed.

Willingness to learn new machines and processes in a fast-paced production environment.

The atmosphere is very social and team-oriented, with a strong focus on safety, consistent processes, and efficient production.

You will regularly work with metal tubing, production machinery, and robotic bend cells in a structured, process-driven environment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of WATERLOO, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
