Field Service Representative – Technical & Industrial Equipment

Salary: $70,000–$85,000 per year

Responsibilities

- Install, start up, commission and service industrial equipment
- Travel to customer sites throughout Canada, the U.S. and internationally
- Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper installation
- Read and interpret mechanical, electrical and P&ID; drawings
- Troubleshoot equipment and instrumentation
- Provide onsite and telephone technical support to customers
- Provide hands-on and classroom operator training
- Coordinate and oversee external subcontractors when required
- Communicate with customers regarding schedules, technical questions and service requirements
- Prepare detailed field service reports and recommendations
- Work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Qualifications

- College or university education in a related field




- Hands-on experience working with mechanical and/or electrical equipment
- Previous field and/or installation experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. periodically
- Valid driver's license
- Valid passport and ability to travel throughout North America and internationally
