POSITION: SKILLED LABOURER (Seasonal) JOB TYPE: Full-time (seasonal)

Job Duties / Responsibilities :

- Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites
- Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
- Assist tradespersons such as carpenters, bricklayers, cement finishers, roofers and glaziers in construction activities
- Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel
- Ensure all work is conducted in a safe and responsible manner
- Work with mínimal supervision to ensure production is on schedule.
- Work with a variety of hand tools (sledge & carpenter hammers), power tools (hand saws) and equipment (jack hammer) used in concrete division work
- Work with and around other crews (i.e. surface crews) that use heavy construction equipment
- Perform work in an outdoor construction site setting
- Be aware of proper procedures for traffic control, use of tools & equipment, P.P.E. & ensure safe work procedures are followed
- Act in a courteous manner in order to project a positive company image.
- Be observant of the condition of equipment of tools and materials used to ensure company standards are met and promptly report any possible problems or defects.
- Assists other workers with general labour activities when required
- Clean worksite of any tools, debris and equipment - sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
- Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities




- Feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors and pumps.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
- Regular attendance required.

Experience / Education / Training :

- Some experience as a general construction labourer may be required for construction trade helpers.
- Completion of grade 12 or equivalent experience/training (preferred)
- Experience in construction industry
- Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
- Construction Safety Certificates/Training
- WHMIS
- Working at Heights
- Ministry of Labour Worker Awareness Certificate
- Must be physically fit as heavy lifting is required (Ability to lift 100 lb panels)
- Ability to read construction plans/blueprints an asset
- Possession of a valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle for transportation (preferred)
- Must have a positive attitude & a robust work ethic
- Must be able to work in a fast-pace, physically challenging and team based environment.
- Must be able to work overtime as required
- Must have proper equipment for work site (Steel-toed safety boots; Hard hat; Safety glasses/goggles; Safety vest or high-vis shirts; Gloves)
- Possession of a valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle for transportationto and from shop or job-site each day

Job Types : Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Corbeil, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
