Ensures that all equipment and systems are operated in accordance with company standards and procedures.

- Follows health and safety policies, procedures and protocols.
- Completes setup of various pumps, hoses and tanks.
- Operates various pumps and filtration units.
- Able to perform physical tasks and duties including loading/unloading, shoveling, moving equipment.
- Assists with offloading/loading tanker trucks under the direction of the Lead Operator.
- Provides excellent customer service.
- Actively participates in safety meetings and identifies and reports all incidents and assists in investigation.
- Maintains safe and and clean equipment and work area.
- Actively participate as a team member in the operation of the project.
- Trains on unfamiliar processes and equipment, within established guidelines as required.
- Performs other operational duties as assigned

Experience, qualifications and education

- Minimum Grade 12 education, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year relevant experience, i.e. industrial labour, heavy equipment operator, water treatment equipment operator etc. would be considered an asset.
- Open to working various shifts, including weekends, afternoons, nights and extended hours to meet the client's needs.
- Must be willing to travel for work (including night shifts)



throughout the Atlantic region.
- The ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.
- Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Workplace Hazardous Material Information Systems, First Aid, and Hydrogen Sulfide would be an asset.
- Basic mechanical aptitude required.
- Class 5 driver's license minimum, Class 3 an asset.
- Ability to communicate thoughts and ideas effectively.
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a solid work ethic and positive attitude to represent the GFL brand effectively and favourably.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Ability to adjust to rapidly shifting priorities and to work with mínimal supervision.
