Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to protect our property, assets, and personnel. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe workplace through vigilant surveillance, enforcing security protocols, and responding promptly to incidents. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and security of our premises and everyone within.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned premises to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems and other security equipment
- Conducting thorough security checks of people and vehicles
- Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, including medical or fire incidents
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Security Guard license
- Valid First Aid
- Prior experience in law enforcement or security roles is preferred but not mandatory
- Prior gatehouse experience
- Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately
- Physical fitness to patrol premises effectively and respond quickly when needed
- Must be reliable, vigilant, and committed to maintaining a secure environment
