Pet Planet Country Hills is looking for a mature, dependable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part-Time Retail Pet Ambassador.

We are a locally owned and operated business that has been proudly serving our community since 1999. We believe pets deserve the best when it comes to their health, nutrition and overall well-being. We take pride in offering quality pet products, sharing our knowledge and helping pet parents make informed decisions for their furry family members.

We're looking for more than someone who loves animals. We want someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, enjoys selling, and is excited to learn about pet health and nutrition.

The ideal candidate has previous customer service experience, a professional and positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the confidence to approach customers, ask questions and recommend products that meet their needs.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, builds relationships with customers, contributes to the team and understands that great service and knowledgeable product recommendations are an key part of successful retail.

Availability to work weekdays, evenings and weekends is required.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who:

- Has previous customer service experience and understands the importance of creating a positive customer experience.
- Enjoys sales and is comfortable approaching customers, asking questions, making recommendations and helping customers find the right products for their pets.
- Is mature, dependable, professional and takes responsibility for their work.
- Has a genuine interest in animals, pet health, nutrition and wellness.
- Is eager to learn about pet food ingredients, nutritional benefits, treats, supplements and other pet products,



and enjoys sharing that knowledge with customers.
- Is outgoing, friendly and confident when communicating with people.
- Works well as part of a team while also being comfortable working independently when needed.
- Takes initiative, stays organized and manages responsibilities without needing constant direction.
- Is flexible, reliable and willing to help wherever needed.
- Understands that retail involves more than customer service, including stocking shelves, receiving inventory, merchandising and keeping the store clean and organized.
- Is comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Previous retail sales experience is an asset. We value maturity, a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and a genuine commitment to customer service.

What You'll Do

As a Retail Pet Ambassador, you'll help create a welcoming shopping experience and help customers make informed choices for their pets.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Greeting customers and making them feel welcome.
- Asking questions to understand customer needs and recommending appropriate products.
- Explaining product features, benefits and nutritional differences.
- Developing product knowledge and confidently sharing what you learn with customers.
- Building relationships with customers and their pets.
- Identifying opportunities to recommend complementary products when appropriate.
- Supporting sales goals by providing knowledgeable recommendations and excellent service.




- Processing cash, debit and credit transactions accurately.
- Receiving shipments, stocking shelves and maintaining attractive merchandise displays.
- Keeping the store clean, organized and welcoming.
- Following store procedures and remaining attentive to inventory and security.
- Working collaboratively with the team to support daily store operations and contribute to a positive work environment.
