Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Medical-Surgical Travel Contract | Prince Edward Island

Position Overview

Augury Healthcare is currently recruiting an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Medical-Surgical assignment supporting an Emergency Overcapacity Unit in Prince Edward Island.

This travel contract is suited for an LPN with a strong acute care background who is comfortable supporting patients in a fast-paced hospital setting where patient volumes and clinical priorities may change quickly.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide safe, patient-focused care.

Travel and accommodations are provided for eligible travel assignments.

Position Details





LPN – Medical-Surgical / Emergency Overcapacity

The successful candidate will support patients requiring Medical-Surgical care within an Emergency Overcapacity environment.

Candidates should be comfortable working with changing patient needs and supporting a broad range of acute care presentations.

Required Certifications

- BCLS/BLS – Required
- ACLS – Required

Qualifications

- Current Licensed Practical Nurse registration and eligibility to practice in Prince Edward Island
- Recent relevant Medical-Surgical and/or acute care nursing experience
- Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills
- Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently within the LPN scope of practice while collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Ability to complete all required credentialing and onboarding documentation before assignment
- Availability through January 31, 2027 is strongly preferred
