Job Summary

- Provide attentive, welcoming service to guests in a restaurant or other food-service setting.
- Take orders, answer menu questions, and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
- Create a positive hospitality experience through transparent communication, teamwork, and thoughtful guest services.

Duties

- Greet guests, present menus, and explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Take and enter orders accurately using a POS system; experience with Micros POS is an asset.
- Serve food and beverages, check in with guests, and respond promptly and professionally to requests or concerns.
- Recommend menu items and use appropriate upselling techniques based on guest preferences.
- Process payments, operate the register, and handle cash and card transactions accurately.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to communicate special requests and support timely food preparation and service.
- Follow food handling, food safety, and sanitation procedures, including keeping dining and service areas clean.




- Assist with basic food preparation or other kitchen tasks as needed.
- Apply basic math skills to verify orders, process transactions, and provide accurate change.
- Manage multiple tables and tasks while maintaining strong time management and attention to detail.

Requirements

- Robust customer service, communication, and hospitality skills.
- Food service, serving, guest services, or restaurant experience preferred; experience in the broader food industry is also valued.
- Familiarity with POS systems; Micros POS experience is a plus.
- Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately, with basic math and cashiering skills.
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety, sanitation, and safe food preparation practices.
- Kitchen experience is helpful but not required.
- Dependable, organized, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
