Shaganappi GM is seeking a skilled, dependable, and motivated Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our busy Service Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, demonstrates strong diagnostic abilities, and brings a positive, professional attitude to work every day.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Perform vehicle diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and maintenance accurately and efficiently.

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, drivability, suspension, steering, brake, transmission, and HVAC concerns.

- Complete basic and advanced maintenance according to manufacturer specifications and dealership procedures.

- Conduct professional digital and video inspections and clearly identify required and recommended repairs.

- Use approved diagnostic platforms, scan tools, service information, test equipment, and repair procedures.

- Interpret diagnostic trouble codes, live data, wiring diagrams, specifications, and technical service information.

- Complete repair orders, technician stories, time entries, and service documentation accurately and on time.

- Road-test vehicles when authorized and perform quality control checks to confirm completed repairs.

- Protect customer vehicles and dealership property through proper care and handling.

- Work effectively with Service Advisors, Parts Personnel, fellow Technicians, and Management.

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and participate in ongoing GM and dealership training.

WHAT YOU BRING





- Journeyman Automotive Technician certification.

- Red Seal certification.

- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.

- Experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical, drivability, and vehicle-system concerns.

- Ability and willingness to complete skilled digital and video inspections.

- Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate customer and dealership vehicles.

- Ability to complete repair orders, technician stories, and service documentation accurately.

- Personal tools appropriate for the position.

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality repairs.

- Strong organization and time-management skills.

- Consistent punctuality, attendance, and dependability.

- A strong work ethic, pride in workmanship, and a professional, positive attitude.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced dealership.
