Logistics Coordinator

OpTalent is recruiting a Logistics Coordinator for an established transportation and logistics provider in Markham.

If you enjoy keeping shipments on track, working directly with carriers, and making sure deliveries are completed and properly documented, this role offers hands-on involvement in the transportation process from pickup through final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Track and trace shipments, with a focus on less-than-truckload (LTL) freight.

- Follow up with carriers to confirm pickup, transit, and delivery status.

- Investigate delayed or missing shipments and resolve delivery discrepancies.

- Verify proof of delivery (POD), including signed delivery receipts and delivery confirmations.

- Maintain accurate shipment records, tracking updates, and supporting documentation within the transportation management system.

Communicate shipment updates and delivery issues to carriers, customers, and internal teams.

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in logistics,



freight coordination, transportation, or a related role.

- Hands-on experience with shipment tracking, tracing, and carrier follow-up.

- Familiarity with LTL freight and proof-of-delivery documentation.

- Solid attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

- Clear communication skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities.

Experience with TruckMate or a similar transportation management system (TMS) is an asset.
