The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced gas fitter who enjoys variety and wants to keep growing in the trade. You'll own the gas side of our residential work: furnaces, tankless water heaters and hot water tanks, from new installs to service calls and maintenance.
You'll also work alongside our team of excellent ticketed refrigeration technicians. That means real, hands-on exposure to heat pumps and refrigeration, and a clear path to broaden your skills as more homes move to hybrid and electric heating. No refrigeration experience? We'll train you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Installing gas furnaces, including full replacements and new installs
- Installing, servicing and repairing tankless water heaters and hot water tanks
- Running, testing and commissioning residential gas piping and venting
- Diagnosing and repairing gas systems on service and repair calls
- Performing routine maintenance and seasonal inspections
- Working with our refrigeration technicians on heat pump and hybrid (dual-fuel) installs
All of our work is residential, across a good mix of installs, service, repair and maintenance.
What We Need From You
- BC Gasfitter Class B ticket (Technical Safety BC), required. Class A also welcome.
- Around 5 years of residential gas fitting experience
- Valid BC driver's licence with a clean driving abstract, criminal record check where required.
- Available Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, and able to take part in our on-call rotation
- Safety-minded, reliable, and proud of doing the job right the first time
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Genuine interest in learning heat pumps and the refrigeration side of the trade
Bonus Points
- Any refrigeration or heat pump experience, ticketed or not
- Experience with hybrid or dual-fuel systems
- Strong customer service skills
What's in It for You
- $45–$48/hr, depending on experience
- Company vehicle and fuel card
- Comprehensive and competitive benefits package
- Hands-on training in heat pumps and refrigeration alongside experienced techs
- Steady, year-round residential work with a mix of installs, service and maintenance
- A local team that values honest work and treats customers right
