Overview

The Commercial Cleaner / Day Porter helps maintain clean, safe, and welcoming commercial facilities throughout the day. This hands-on role includes routine cleaning, responding to facility needs, and supporting general facilities maintenance. The ideal candidate is dependable, attentive to detail, and comfortable working independently as well as with a team.

Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain common areas, offices, restrooms, and other assigned spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and empty waste and recycling containers.
- Replenish restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
- Monitor facilities throughout the day and address spills, litter, and other cleaning needs promptly.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks and report repair needs, safety concerns, or equipment issues to the appropriate team member.
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely and follow established procedures.




- Keep storage and work areas organized and maintain cleaning equipment in good condition.

Requirements

- Previous cleaning or commercial cleaning experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with basic facilities maintenance or maintenance tasks is an asset.
- Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and maintain consistent attention to detail.
- Dependable, qualified, and able to communicate courteously with building occupants and coworkers.
- Ability to perform routine physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and handling cleaning supplies.
- Willingness to learn site-specific cleaning procedures and safety practices.

Pay: $15.75-$17.00 per hour
