Overview

We are seeking a skilled Metal Grinder in Aurora area for morning shift 7am to 4pm.

This role involves precise grinding and finishing of metal components to meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess robust mechanical knowledge, experience with various machining tools, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Duties

- Operate grinding equipment and hand tools to shape and finish metal parts according to specifications
- Removing weld slag, burs, rust, and scale to ensure a smooth, clean surface finish.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine grinding requirements
- Use calipers and other measuring tools for quality inspection and precision measurement
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with assembly processes when necessary,

- Conduct routine maintenance on grinding equipment and report any malfunctions or safety concerns

Qualifications :

- Experience with metal shop power tools, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to workshop safety.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Strong understanding of quality inspection procedures using calipers and other measurement tools
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes
- Ability to operate cranes and forklifts is a plus but not mandatory
- Excellent attention to detail, safety consciousness, and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
