City Driver Dispatch Supervisor

Job Summary:

Maximum Seafood is seeking an organized, hands-on City Driver Dispatch Supervisor to manage daily city driver and delivery operations. This role is responsible for driver scheduling, route planning, dispatch, delivery monitoring, training, and coordinating transportation requirements.

The successful candidate will also work closely with the Plant Manager, Fleet Manager, warehouse, sales, procurement, HR, and payroll teams to ensure deliveries, shipping, and warehouse activities are completed efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare weekly driver schedules and ensure adequate daily driver coverage.
- Plan and assign routes for fresh and frozen deliveries.
- Coordinate early-morning airport and cold-storage pickups.
- Prepare driver run sheets and communicate daily assignments.
- Monitor driver delivery progress using the company fleet tracking system and provide ETAs when required.
- Assist drivers with delivery issues, customer concerns, vehicle problems, and MTO inspections.
- Coordinate driver vacation, sick leave, and staffing requirements with management and HR.
- Train and support new and existing drivers on delivery procedures, safety, customer service, vehicle care, and company expectations.
- Work with the Fleet Manager to coordinate scheduled truck maintenance and replacement vehicles.
- Review weekly driver hours and communicate required corrections to HR/Payroll.
- Communicate delivery or pickup delays to customers and internal departments as required.
- Support warehouse and shipping operations, including PPE and food safety requirements.
- Assist with other operational and warehouse duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in logistics, transportation, supply chain, business,



or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in dispatch, transportation, logistics, fleet coordination, or route planning.
- Supervisory or team-lead experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of MTO/commercial transportation requirements is an asset.
- Food distribution, seafood, or warehouse experience is an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple drivers, routes, and changing priorities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with drivers, customers, and internal departments.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and assisting in other areas when required.
