What we’re looking for:

Successful candidates will need to be able to read, interpret and understand architectural drawings and specifications to provide detailed estimates that incorporate different building envelope solutions. Ideally, the candidate will have some familiarity with basic cladding systems and exterior products. Communication is key in being able to share full and accurate information both internally and with customers/suppliers.



Organization is imperative and therefore comfort with spreadsheets and similar software is required.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, written and oral communication skills, a positive outgoing personality and strong client relationship skills.

Previous experience in construction is preferred, but not required.

Key responsibilities: Assist with the below.

- Review and assess proposals to determine the desirability of the potential project.
- Analyze tender specifications and drawings verifying scope of work and/or discrepancies from prospective clients through detailed follow up with construction managers
- Develop accurate estimates including material take-offs, labour estimates and vendor pricing for manufacturing and installation, hardware and overhead costs.
- Develop quotation letters for general contractor including any exclusions or modification appendices.
- Perform field measurements as required Follow up with clients on bid awards via phone and email. When necessary, meet or conference call with customers to confirm bid details.
- Upon award of tender , review scope coverage, estimate budget and take off for accuracy and reconcile with client contracts
- Attend project kickoff meetings reviewing scope of work with project team
- Perform other duties as directed by management

Qualifications:





- Ability to read, interpret, and understand architectural drawings & specifications and provide detailed take-offs and estimates that incorporate different building envelope solutions.
- Familiarity with basic cladding systems and exterior products Attention to detail with the ability to provide detailed bid packages with accurate estimates.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to act as a conduit of information between the customers, suppliers and internal departments
- Outstanding communication skills to be able to share full and accurate information on potential issues and change orders in the project with the project managers and senior management
- Be the first point of contact for customers -- the ability to represent the company in a professional way.
- Be able to distinguish between feasible and non-feasible projects as well as identify projects that are in line with the company's goals.
- Ability to use spreadsheets and necessary software to develop estimations.
- Candidate must be highly organized, detailed and motivated.
