trueNorth is a network of addiction medicine clinics in Canada. trueNorth has over 100 telemedicine clinics in community partner sites, including pharmacies, hospitals, community health centers, and transitional housing facilities. We work with well-established healthcare providers in both rural and urban settings to provide local access to care in locations that patients know and trust.
Our clinics operate on a low-barrier basis, with walk-in appointments, same-day assessment and treatment, and no referral required. All of our services are fully covered by provincial health insurance.
We provide treatment for a variety of substance use disorders, including:
- Opioid Use Disorder (Opioid Agonist Treatment)
- Alcohol Use Disorder
- Stimulant Use Disorder
- Benzodiazepine Use Disorder
- Tobacco Use Disorder
Our virtual model allows us to pool clinical and administrative resources, enabling physicians to provide care across multiple clinic locations daily and expand access to addiction medicine services.
The Role
We’re looking for a BC-based physician to join our BC team and provide addiction medicine care via telemedicine.
- Remote work
- Part-time, flexible hours
- Fee-for-service
- Flexible scheduling within our BC clinic hours of 9 AM–3 PM PST
- Orientation and onboarding provided
- Administrative and IT support provided
- Opportunity to start with a smaller number of hours and expand over time
- Opportunity to collaborate with community partners serving patients in remote locations
- Work with experienced physicians in the addiction medicine field

Our BC clinics are currently lower volume, but we are actively working to grow our presence in BC and increase access to addiction medicine services across the province. We are looking for a physician who is interested in flexible, part-time virtual work and is comfortable starting with a smaller patient volume as our clinics continue to grow.
