Duties

- Develop and implement individualized plans that support the emotional, social, and developmental needs of children and youth
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Provide mentorship and guidance to help children navigate challenges and build self-esteem
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and environments to meet their unique needs
- Collaborate with families, educators, and community partners to ensure holistic support for each child
- Maintain a safe environment by monitoring behavior, enforcing rules, and responding promptly to incidents
- Document observations,



progress notes, and incident reports accurately to track development and inform future planning

Requirements

- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Prior experience working with children in educational or care settings is essential
- Strong understanding of teaching strategies that foster learning and development in young people
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with children, families, and team members
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and positive in challenging situations
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain required certifications if not already held
- A valid driver’s license may be required depending on the role’s responsibilities
