Highmark Mechanical is a locally owned HVAC and refrigeration company serving Winnipeg and surrounding areas since 2018. Our work includes commercial service and maintenance, new construction and equipment installations. We’re looking for a dependable apprentice who takes pride in their work and wants to build their skills with an experienced team.
The work
You’ll assist our technicians and installers on a variety of commercial and residential projects. Duties may include:
- Installing ductwork, ventilation systems and HVAC equipment
- Assisting with furnaces, air conditioners, rooftop units, HRVs and exhaust systems
- Assisting with refrigeration piping and gas piping under qualified supervision
- Supporting equipment startups, troubleshooting and repairs
- Completing preventative maintenance
- Reading drawings, taking measurements and preparing materials
- Keeping tools, vehicles and job sites organized
- Following safety procedures and completing required paperwork
What we’re looking for
- An HVAC, refrigeration or sheet metal apprentice,
or someone with relevant construction and installation experience
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Reliability, attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- The ability to follow instructions and work well with others
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Availability to work throughout Winnipeg and surrounding areas
Previous HVAC installation, ductwork or commercial construction experience is an asset. Please include your apprenticeship level, if applicable, and relevant experience when applying.
