Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatch Coordinator to oversee daily fleet operations and ensure the efficient movement of drivers, vehicles, and freight. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling routes, communicating with drivers in real time, and ensuring deliveries are completed safely, on time, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. This role is fast-paced and requires strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and dispatch drivers for deliveries.

Plan and assign routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery schedules.

Monitor driver locations, delivery progress, and route changes throughout the shift.

Handle last-minute dispatch changes, delays, missed pickups and deliveries , and other operational issues.

Maintain accurate dispatch records, delivery information and driver HOS.





Track pickups and deliveries and follow up on outstanding or delayed shipments.

Communicate professionally with customers, clients, and internal team members.

Ensure drivers follow company procedures, delivery instructions, and safety requirements.

Respond promptly to urgent situations and make decisions to keep operations running smoothly.

Perform other dispatch and administrative duties as required.

Working Conditions

- Office-based role in a fast-paced logistics workplace.
- Frequent communication with drivers via phone, text, and dispatch systems.
- May require extended periods of computer and phone use.
- Occasional after-hours availability depending on operational needs.

Reports To

- Operations Manager

Pay: $40,000.00-$48,000.00 per year

- Dispatch: 1 year (required)
