Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Writer to join our team. The Service Writer acts as the primary point of contact between customers and the service department, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for vehicle repairs and maintenance. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical understanding, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will have dealership or mechanic experience, along with strong sales and upselling abilities, to enhance customer satisfaction and departmental revenue.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a positive first impression.
- Accurately document customer concerns, vehicle issues, and service requests.
- Prepare detailed repair orders and communicate repair estimates clearly to customers.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize and schedule repairs efficiently.
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on customer needs while maintaining integrity.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, explaining repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.




- Maintain organized records of service history, work orders, and customer interactions.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business.

Skills

- Dealership experience or mechanic background highly preferred for technical understanding.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive and or RV repair and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
- Sales aptitude with experience in upselling services or products to enhance revenue opportunities.
- Proficiency in cash handling and basic administrative tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay: $18.25-$31.83 per hour
