ABOUT US

Flourish BeauTea Café & Cakes is a local café offering handcrafted drinks, coffee, fresh cream cakes, desserts, and cake decorating workshops.

Enjoy making drinks, working with desserts, and helping customers find something they’ll love? Join our small team and develop practical skills across café service and food preparation.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices what needs doing, and follows through.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Prepare drinks and desserts consistently, following our recipes and presentation standards.
- Welcome customers, answer menu questions, and recommend suitable drinks, cakes, and workshops.
- Take orders and process payments accurately.
- Assist with cake and pastry preparation, packaging, and special orders.
- Keep displays stocked and work areas clean, including washing dishes and completing routine cleaning.
- Complete opening, closing, and shift handover tasks.
- Manage customer service, preparation, and cleaning priorities during your shift.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Dependable and punctual, with consistent availability.
- Proactive: you notice when something needs cleaning, restocking, or preparing and take action without repeated reminders.
- Organised and efficient, while maintaining accuracy and product quality.
- Comfortable communicating with customers and making helpful recommendations.
- Willing to follow recipes, use checklists, and apply feedback consistently.
- Able to work independently after training, including shifts where you are the only team member on duty.




- Interested in an ongoing role and learning different aspects of café operations.

Previous café, bakery, food service, or customer service experience is an asset. We also welcome applicants who can demonstrate reliability, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

FOODSAFE certification and experience with coffee preparation or cake decorating are additional assets.

AVAILABILITY

Availability for weekday afternoons, weekends, and holidays is valued. Please include the specific days and times you can consistently work, along with any upcoming changes to your availability.
