July is for you if you notice the little things, live with intention, love the wider world of wellness, and want to grow and build something with creative, driven people who bring valuable energy into the room.
July Wellness Club is a private wellness club in Etobicoke: reformer and mat pilates, yoga, meditation, and sensory wellness. Think warm light, small classes, and a cup of tea waiting for you.
Help shape how July moves: Our Lead Instructor is the heart of how we teach. You'll teach your own classes, shape how every class is built, sequenced, and refreshed through the seasons, and help us grow a team of instructors who teach with warmth and precision.
Schedule: Thursday 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. and Saturday 8:30, 10:00, and 11:30 a.m. on the reformer, plus about four programming hours a week (about 12 paid hours in total).
What you'll do
- Learn the July Method, shape it with us, and teach with it in our 60-minute reformer classes
- Offer modifications for every body
- Learn names and create a safe, happy, and warm space
- Lead our programming and write the class plans every instructor teaches from
- Help train and grow our instructors
What you bring
- A comprehensive pilates certification (STOTT PILATES, BASI, Polestar, or Balanced Body)
- Two or more years of teaching, both private sessions and group reformer
- A love of creating: classes or programmes you've built yourself
- You love helping others and sharing stories, and you know how to create a safe, happy, and warm space
- Specialized training (somatic, pre and postnatal, or similar) is a bonus
Pay: $60 an hour, flat, for teaching and programming. Each class is paid as a 90-minute block ($90 a class), and training is paid.
Perks: the studio to yourself for your own practice whenever a room is open, one event of your own each quarter (we'll help you host it), July events on us, two standby classes a week, ring lights, tripods, and selfie sticks in the studio, and a discount on retail.
Write us a Letter to July
No cover letter needed. Send your résumé and answer these four questions:
- How do you help teachers with different backgrounds teach one shared method in their own voice?
- Tell us about a class or programme you created from scratch. How did it change once real people were in the room?
- What would the first three months of a new instructor's training look like?
- What's your side quest? Tell us about a talent, skill, or hobby that brings you joy. We love multifaceted people.
Please include proof of certification, tell us where you trained, and share your weekly availability. Share anything else you'd like us to see (social media, portfolio, etc.). To apply, email
[email protected] with the role in the subject line.
Applications close Friday, October 30. We read every letter as it arrives.
