Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs in a friendly, professional manner
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions swiftly and securely
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Stock shelves, merchandise products attractively, and ensure the sales floor is organized and inviting
- Assist with inventory management by stocking recent items and participating in merchandising efforts
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette or in person, resolving issues promptly




- Support the team with supervising experience tasks such as training new associates or guiding customers through store processes

Skills

- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings
- Proven experience with POS systems and cashiering procedures in a retail or grocery store environment
- Ability to perform retail math for cash handling, pricing adjustments, and sales calculations accurately
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Experience in upselling products and conducting product demos to enhance sales opportunities
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking techniques, and inventory management best practices
- Familiarity with phone etiquette for professional customer interactions over the phone or online
- Supervising experience is a plus for leadership responsibilities within the team
- Basic math skills necessary for retail transactions and daily operations
