Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our hotel accounting team team and oversee all accounting operations. This pivotal role involves managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving strategic financial planning. As a Controller, you will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records, optimizing accounting processes, and supporting the organization’s growth through sound financial management. Your expertise will help foster transparency, accountability, and efficiency across all financial functions.

Responsibilities

- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Supervise payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms to maintain financial records efficiently.
- Conduct account reconciliations regularly to verify data integrity across various ledgers.
- Perform detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
- Develop and monitor budgets, providing insights that support strategic decision-making.




- Implement and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies.
- Collaborate with auditors during audits by preparing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data.
- Lead process improvements in accounting workflows to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Experience

- Proven experience as a Controller or senior accounting manager within a dynamic organization.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms is essential.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll management, and account reconciliation processes.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and implementing internal controls is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a collaborative environment.

Pay: $100,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
