About Kettle Creek Residence
Kettle Creek Residence is a supportive housing facility in St. Thomas. We serve adults living with mental health challenges and/or substance use, and those who have experienced homelessness. We provide a safe, structured, and respectful environment where residents are supported to build stability and a better quality of life.

About the Role
We are hiring full-time and part-time Cooks to prepare three nutritious meals daily for our residents. Meals follow a pre-set menu prepared by the General Manager. This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, reliable, and takes pride in a clean, well-run kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

- Cook three meals daily (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) according to the pre-set nutritional menu
- Serve meals to residents
- Maintain health and food safety standards at all times
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Clean dishes and keep a clean, organized working environment
- Organize supplies and items in the pantry
- Prepare and complete inventory lists for the manager




- Do grocery shopping where necessary
- Maintain accurate kitchen records

Qualifications

- Previous cooking experience in a residential, institutional, or commercial kitchen is an asset
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
- Knowledge of safe food handling, storage, and kitchen sanitation
- Able to follow a set menu and manage time to serve meals on schedule
- Organized, dependable, and able to work independently
- Respectful and patient when working with vulnerable residents
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle (an asset, for grocery runs)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18 per hour
Schedule: Day shifts, weekends as required
