Join Wholly Pelvis

Wholly Pelvis is a growing pelvic health physiotherapy practice built around evidence-informed, trauma-informed, and individualized care.

We are growing and looking for a Part time Pelvic Health Physiotherapist to join our team.

This is an opportunity for a physiotherapist who is passionate about pelvic health, wants to continue developing their clinical skills, and values mentorship, evidence-informed practice, and high-quality patient care.

About the Founder

Bhawan Sekhon, PT is a registered Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and the founder of Wholly Pelvis. Her practice combines evidence-informed pelvic health physiotherapy with additional training in sexual health and trauma-informed care.

Bhawan is also an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University, where she is involved in education and bringing current evidence into clinical practice. Her approach is grounded in lifelong learning, compassionate care, and helping clients understand their bodies so they can actively participate in their own healthcare.

About the Role

You will work exclusively with pelvic health clients—there is no general orthopaedic caseload.

Your initial caseload will be based on your current pelvic health training, clinical experience, and scope of practice.

For a clinician who has completed Level 1 training, the initial caseload will primarily include urinary and fecal incontinence and other appropriate foundational pelvic health presentations.

As your training and clinical experience progress, there will be opportunities to manage a broader range of pelvic health presentations,

including areas such as:

- Pelvic pain
- Pregnancy and postpartum care
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Urinary urgency and frequency
- Bowel dysfunction
- Sexual health
- Birth preparation
- Other pelvic health conditions

Mentorship & Development

Clinical mentorship is included in the role.

You will have opportunities to discuss clinical cases, assessment and treatment approaches, evidence, and professional development with an experienced pelvic health clinician.

We are looking for someone genuinely interested in building pelvic health as a specialty, not simply adding pelvic health to a broader physiotherapy practice.

What We're Looking For

Required:

- Registered Physiotherapist in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Completion of a Level 1 pelvic health physiotherapy course
- Strong interest in developing a career in pelvic health
- Commitment to evidence-informed practice
- Compassionate and trauma-informed approach to patient care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while being open to mentorship and collaboration

Professional Development

The successful candidate will be expected to continue their pelvic health education,

including progressing through Level 2 and Level 3 training after starting with the practice.

Your clinical caseload will evolve alongside your training, experience, and demonstrated clinical competency.

What We Offer

- Split-based compensation under an Independent Contractor agreement
- Pelvic health cases only
- Part-time schedule with the opportunity to build a consistent caseload and potentially transition toward full time
- Clinical mentorship included
- In-person and virtual treatment options
- Referral source from birthing specialists and midwives
- Collaborative birth and wellness environment
- Opportunity to grow with Wholly Pelvis as the practice expands

Location & Schedule

The role will initially have an in-person focus at the Ottawa Birth and Wellness Centre as we establish and grow our clinic presence.

As your caseload develops, there will be flexibility to incorporate both in-person and virtual appointments.

The ideal candidate will be able to establish a consistent presence at the clinic initially and be interested in growing with the practice.

How to Apply

Please email your resume and a brief cover letter to our Operations Director at [email protected].

In your cover letter, tell us a little about why pelvic health is important to you and what you are looking to develop in your next clinical role.

We look forward to hearing from you.
