Cynergy Composites is a carbon fibre manufacturing company in Strathroy, Ontario. We are a small team that values quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and practical problem-solving.

We are looking for a detail-oriented CNC Programmer/Operator to program and operate our Thermwood 5-axis router to machine 3D wooden patterns used in composite tooling.

You will work from completed CAD files to produce accurate patterns. Our projects vary, so the work involves different parts, setups, and challenges. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality results.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Create CNC toolpaths from completed CAD files using Mastercam or similar CAM software.
- Set up and operate the Thermwood 5-axis CNC router.
- Machine 3D wooden patterns to the required dimensions and tolerances.
- Inspect finished patterns against CAD models and drawings to verify accuracy.
- Develop stock layouts and design or create fixtures for larger patterns as needed.
- Troubleshoot programming, setup, and machining issues.
- Maintain the machine, tooling, and work area, including routine machine upkeep.
- Manage machining jobs from programming and setup through to final inspection.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

- Proven experience programming CNC toolpaths using Mastercam or similar CAM software.




- Experience setting up and operating CNC machinery.
- Ability to interpret CAD files and understand machining requirements.
- Solid attention to detail and dimensional accuracy.
- Practical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage jobs from start to finish.

Assets:

- Experience with 5-axis CNC routers or machining centres.
- Experience with Thermwood CNC equipment.
- Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software.
- Experience machining 3D patterns, plugs, models, or tooling.

Security Requirements

This position requires a security assessment under Canada's Controlled Goods Program. The successful candidate must meet the applicable eligibility and authorization requirements. Cynergy Composites will cover the cost of the required background checks.
