Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Nanny/Caregiver to provide dedicated care and support in our family home to a one year old child. This role involves creating a secure, nurturing environment while assisting with daily activities, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about caregiving, experienced in working with children, and committed to fostering growth and well-being through engaging teaching and caregiving practices.

Responsibilities

- Provide attentive supervision and care for a child ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to dietary needs, including meal planning and cooking
- Assist with daily routines such as dressing, bathing, and mobility support as needed
- Engage in educational activities, playtime, and teaching to promote development and learning
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a tidy, safe living environment
- Communicate regularly with family members to report on progress, concerns, or updates regarding care

Skills

- Proven experience working with children
- ECE or other related field of study




- Cooking skills with the ability to prepare healthy meals and snacks
- Knowledge of caregiving best practices, including safety protocols and emergency response procedures including CPR and basic first aid
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teaching skills to foster learning through engaging activities
- Compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or care needs as required
- Someone who speaks Portuguese as well as English preferred

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 per week
