We're looking for a caring, reliable nanny to look after our two daughters, aged one and three, starting in January as I return to work. About our children Our three-year-old is energetic and loves singing, dancing, and playing with others. She attends preschool four mornings a week, from 9:00 am until either 11:30 am or 12:00 pm. The nanny will need to walk her to and from preschool, which is less than a 10-minute walk from our home. She is potty trained but still wears diapers in case of accidents and may need some help using the toilet. Our one-year-old is learning to stand, walk, and talk. She enjoys playing with blocks, building things, and playing with others. She attends StrongStart two to three mornings a week and open gym one to two mornings a week. Both are less than a 10-minute walk away, and the nanny will need to stay with her during these activities. She also occasionally attends story time at our local library, about a 15-minute walk away. Daily routine Once both girls are home around noon, they should have a snack and take their naps. Our three-year-old likes wearing a dress and having a few toys with her when she sleeps, which helps her feel comfortable. After their naps, the girls should have a proper meal and enjoy screen-free play until we return home. The girls love each other and often play well together, but they sometimes fight or accidentally hurt each other, so close supervision is important. About our family The father will generally be home until around noon before leaving for the office. The mother's work schedule is still being finalized, but our goal is for her to work from home as well. We're looking for someone who is patient, dependable, attentive, and enjoys spending time with young children. Experience caring for toddlers and babies is important, as is being comfortable managing their routines and taking them to nearby activities.
