Full Time or Part-Time Construction Labourer

WINMAR® Nelson is looking for a reliable Construction Labourer to support our restoration and construction projects in Nelson and the surrounding area.

This role is a good fit for someone who takes pride in clean, organized work, is comfortable working on active job sites, and can help our team leave homes and businesses ready for handover after restoration, repair, or construction work.

About the Role

The successful candidate will assist with post-construction cleaning, basic labour tasks, debris removal, and general support for our restoration and construction crews.

Hours will vary depending on project workload. This can be a part-time or full-time position with the potential for additional hours during busier periods.

Responsibilities

Duties may include:

- Cleaning construction and restoration job sites
- Post-construction cleaning before client handover
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and wiping down surfaces
- Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, fixtures, walls, windows, trim, and floors
- Removing garbage, debris, dust, and construction materials from job sites
- Operating shop vacs, vacuums, mops, cleaning tools, and basic site-cleaning equipment
- Moving light materials, contents, tools, and equipment as required
- Helping protect finished surfaces during active construction work
- Assisting technicians, project managers, and trades as needed
- Keeping work areas protected, clean, and organized
- Following company safety procedures and site instructions

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is:

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Detail-oriented and willing to do thorough cleaning work




- Comfortable working in homes, businesses, and active construction sites
- Physically able to lift, bend, crouch, kneel, carry materials, and be on their feet for extended periods
- Able to follow instructions and complete tasks properly without constant supervision
- Professional and respectful when working in clients’ homes and businesses
- Safety-minded and willing to wear required PPE

Requirements

- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation to/from our Nelson shop required
- Steel-toed boots
- Ability to lift up to 30 lb
- Prior cleaning, construction, restoration, or labour experience is an asset
- Criminal record check
- WHMIS, First Aid, or other safety training is an asset, but not required

Compensation

$19-22 per hour, depending on experience.
