The successful candidate will help keep the die shop organized, prepare and transport dies, and support production by ensuring tooling is handled safely and efficiently.

Position Details

- Location: Lakeshore, ON
- Position: Die Shop Handler
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Shift Schedule: 12-hour continental rotation
- Day Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Night Shift: 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
- Rotation: Alternates between days and nights every two weeks
- Transportation: Reliable personal transportation is mandatory
- Education: Grade 12 diploma required

What You'll Be Doing

- Transport dies to and from the die shop for cleaning, maintenance, and preparation
- Assist with handling, positioning, and organizing dies and tooling safely
- Perform die cleaning and maintenance support, including sandblasting as required
- Use basic hand tools and equipment,



including hammers, chisels, and die grinders
- Handle chemicals in accordance with established safety procedures and instructions
- Retrieve and deliver production schedules and related documentation to the appropriate presses
- Read and follow work orders, production schedules, and maintenance instructions
- Keep dies, tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
- Assist with basic tooling preparation and other die shop activities as required
- Use computer systems to access schedules, enter information, or support daily operations
- Coordinate with production personnel and team members to ensure tooling and materials are available when needed
- Manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and organization
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Wear and properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support die shop and manufacturing operations

What We're Looking For

- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Previous manufacturing or factory experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and industrial equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required
- Comfortable handling chemicals and following appropriate safety procedures
- Ability to read and understand work orders, schedules, and written instructions
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining excellent attendance
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team




- Full availability for the 12-hour rotating day and night shift schedule
- Reliable transportation to and from the Lakeshore facility

Additional Assets

The following qualifications are beneficial but not required:

- Experience operating a Bridgeport milling machine
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Previous welding experience
- Experience using measuring instruments, including measuring tapes and Vernier calipers
- Previous experience with die maintenance, tooling, sandblasting, or industrial equipment
