About this Role:
Our client, a well-established equipment rental and service provider in the Lower Mainland, is looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to join their team. In this role, you'll travel to customer sites and company facilities to keep high-reach equipment (think boom lifts, scissor lifts, and similar machinery) running safely and reliably. If you've got strong diagnostic instincts, take pride in your workmanship, and enjoy the variety of field work, this is a great fit.
Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs and scheduled maintenance on a range of high-reach equipment, including rental fleet and customer-owned units
- Inspect machines to catch functional issues, wear, or safety concerns before they become problems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and control system issues, and resolve them efficiently
- Complete accurate, timely service reports, inspection records, and repair logs
- Build strong customer relationships through reliable communication and quality work
- Represent the company professionally at every job site
- Follow all safety policies and manufacturer guidelines
- Keep your service vehicle and work area clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Nice-to-Haves:
- Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification or equivalent experience
- Experience servicing high-reach, aerial, or construction equipment
- Familiarity with calibrating super booms (S125/Z135)
- Knowledge of Deutz engine platforms (2011 and 2.9L)
What We Can Offer You:
- $50.00 - $60.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Full time, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
