Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier/Prep Cook to join our team. This role combines customer service with food preparation, providing an engaging experience for both our guests and team members. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cooking, and serving in a dynamic restaurant environment.

Pay: $18.25 per hour + bi-weekly tips.

Duties

- Greet customers with a welcoming attitude and take their orders accurately at the cashier station
- Handle cash transactions efficiently and provide correct change
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to established recipes and safety standards
- Cook food items as directed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including food prep stations and cooking equipment
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and prepared foods
- Assist in serving food to customers when needed, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Restock supplies and ingredients as necessary to ensure smooth kitchen operations




- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the restaurant environment

Skills

- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly demeanor and ability to engage with customers
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills for working effectively with team members and customers
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if require

Availability Requirements:

Must be available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Flexibility to work on other days is preferred.
