At this time we are looking for a position for one of our sister companies and recommendation to a designer position for them.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Interior Designer role based in Etobicoke, ON. The Junior Interior Designer supports senior team members in developing interior concepts, space plans, and mood boards for residential and commercial projects. Daily tasks include assisting with floor plans, elevations, and construction drawings, preparing FF&E; specifications and schedules, sourcing materials and finishes, and organizing samples. The role involves participating in client meetings, documenting design decisions, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and updating project files. The Junior Interior Designer also helps prepare presentation documents, ensures drawings and specifications meet standards, and contributes to project administration as needed.

Qualifications





- Strong skills in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to translate client needs into functional layouts.
- Knowledge of Architecture principles relevant to interior projects and collaboration with architectural teams.
- Ability to produce and revise Construction Drawings, including plans, elevations, and details.
- Experience with FF&E; selection, specification, and coordination (furniture, fixtures, and equipment).
- Great proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar), and basic Adobe Creative Suite skills. AutoCAD skills are a must!
- Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, robust organization skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively in an in office studio environment.
- Knowledge of local building codes, accessibility standards, and construction practices is an asset.
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant interior design and technical drawing work.
