Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our facilities maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks across our manufacturing and facility operations. This role requires robust mechanical, electrical, and technical knowledge, along with leadership qualities to supervise maintenance activities and ensure optimal facility performance. The Handy Man will play a key role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment.

Responsibilities

- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure operational efficiency.
- Perform repairs and troubleshooting on mechanical systems, electrical components, and plumbing fixtures.
- Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to diagnose issues and plan maintenance tasks.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systems for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Lead maintenance projects, supervise team members, and coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime.
- Weld or perform fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment or structures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed using CMMS software.




- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and provide excellent customer service when interacting with internal clients or external vendors.

Experience

- Proven supervisory experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in welding, electrical systems, and general repairs.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management is a plus.
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with leadership experience preferred to oversee maintenance teams effectively.
