We are hiring a Press Operator in Woodbridge, ON.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a reliable and physically strong Press Operator to join our team. This role involves continuous physical work and heavy lifting at the job site. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to handle demanding tasks throughout the shift.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Inspect and pack stamping parts and/or perform other duties according to specific job instructions provided
- Assist with setup functions during changeover and to maintain general housekeeping (5S) of assigned work

- Complete all production and quality documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure that only quality parts are passed on to the next operation
- Ensure that production quota and/or CS1 requirements are met on each shift; follow quality inspection

- Ensure housekeeping is maintained at all times at the workstation
- Work in a safe manner, obeying all health and safety regulations. Report all unsafe acts and conditions to
- Supervision and/or the Joint Health and Safety Committee
- Contribute to continuous improvement, productivity, quality, customer service, cost reduction and safety

REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATIONS

- Good Understanding of English (oral and written)
- Experience with measuring equipment (i.e., vernier, micrometer, etc.)
- Minimum 6 months of manufacturing experience
- Previous punch press operating experience, punch press safety training
- Must be physically capable of performing work required
- Excellent attendance
- Ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision
- Ability to work in a team setting and be a Team Player
- Flexibility to work overtime as required
- Ability to maintain records in an organized and tidy manner

- Must be willing to perform tasks that are reasonably requested by Supervisor
- Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out safely and efficiently and at no time is the employee or

- Physically demanding environment
- Exposure to varying temperatures depending on the work site
- Fast-paced setting with repetitive tasks

- Lifting and pushing as needed; ability to lift up to 30 lbs

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

- $19 per hour

SCHEDULE:

- Monday to Friday: Day, afternoon and night shifts.
