Versante Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel located in Richmond and is seeking a dedicated, professional, customer service-orientated Fine Dining Bartender to join the newly opening Ova Restaurant and Bar team. The Bartender reports directly to the Food and Beverage Manager and Restaurant Supervisor .Bartenders are responsible for submitting guest menu selections and presenting these food and beverage preferences. Upselling of food and beverages options and ensuring dietary restrictions are met. Giving recommendations from our selection of menu food and beverage offerings. Their style and service attributes are keys to creating the guest experience. Classic and craft cocktails knowledge ,wine knowledge and wine service are highly prized attributes. Other duties include bar organization and maintaining a sanitary workplace.

Responsibilities

- Greet, make personal connections, and make every guest interactions feel memorable and caring.
- Take food and beverage orders and professionally serve them.
- Demonstrate professional bar skills.
- Answer questions regarding menu selections and proactively making suggestions
- Upselling of food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies,



dietary needs and special requests to the Culinary team
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food item and /or beverage item.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and product security throughout the shift
- Complete closing duties, including restocking items, and cashing-out with the restaurant's POS

Qualifications

- BC Serving It Right certificate
- Food Safe Level 1 certificate
- Must be available to work various shifts which include weekdays, weekends and holidays based on business needs
- Minimum one yearbartending experience in a hotel or restaurant setting
- Knowledge and previous experience with POS system, Silverware is an asset
- Must be polished and conduct professional communication skills at all times
- Excellent team player and have the ability to work with minimum supervision
- In addition to restaurant duties, food delivery assistance may be required in other parts of the hotel based on business needs
- Have an energetic personality and remain positive and professional at all times

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
