Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Full-Time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Pharmasave in Sooke listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on candidate Focused Care Responsibilities:Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient careGreet customers and answer phone calls in a skilled mannerAssist with entering labeling and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technicianAccurately count measure and package medications according to established protocolsReceive and stock medication and supply shipments monitor inventory levels rotate stock and support inventory auditsKeep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulationsPerform clerical tasks such as filing faxing scanning and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfersAssist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assignedQualifications:Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferredPrevious experience within a pharmacy is an asset (on-the-job training will be provided)Excellent verbal and written communication skills ability to thrive in a team environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailBasic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Kroll pharmacy software(training will be provided)
