Our stewarding and dishwashing team plays a vital role in maintaining venue hygiene, keeping kitchen tools sanitized, and keeping the kitchen stocked with clean dishware and cookware.

The Role

As a Dishwasher at Bar Romy, you are an essential engine of kitchen efficiency, cleanliness, and food safety. Working closely with line cooks, chefs, and floor staff,



you will operate dishwashing machinery, wash cookware by hand, sanitize prep areas, and ensure our fast-paced kitchen stays organized and running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

- Operate & Maintain Dishwashing Stations: Wash, sanitize, and dry all plates, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils efficiently using commercial dishwashers and manual wash stations.
- Support Kitchen & Floor Efficiency: Restock clean dishware, cookware, and service utensils promptly across kitchen line stations and service points.
- Maintain Kitchen Sanitation & Safety: Keep dish pit areas clean, dry, and organized; scrub and sanitize prep counters, sinks, and kitchen floor mats continuously throughout the shift.
- Execute Waste Management Duties: Empty garbage, recycling, and compost bins regularly; break down cardboard boxes; and maintain waste areas according to venue environmental policies.
- Collaborate as a Team: Assist kitchen leadership with deep-cleaning tasks or basic prep assignments as needed, completing end-of-shift cleaning checklists thoroughly.

What We’re Looking For

- Work Ethic & Reliability: Strong work ethic, positive attitude, punctual attendance, and a commitment to maintaining high sanitation and safety standards.
- Physical Capability: Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously throughout the shift, work in a warm kitchen environment, and lift/carry items weighing up to 40 lbs.




- Team Mindset: Willingness to support kitchen staff, learn back-of-house procedures, and follow health/safety guidelines.
- Certifications (Asset): Food Handler Certification is considered an asset, but on-the-job training will be provided.
- Flexibility & Availability: Full availability to work dynamic shifts including nights and weekends to support peak dining and nightlife volume.
