Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented part time Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Experience with dental software Opendental and Dexis preferred. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where patient comfort and clinical excellence are prioritized.

Responsibilities

- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with safety protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including surgical, orthodontic and pediatric treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs PAs Bitewings and Panoramic when necessary
- Provide patient education on oral health practices and post-treatment care
- Manage patient records using Opendental software
- Ensure patient comfort and address any questions or concerns during visits
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical area




- Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when needed.

Qualifications

- 1 year experience in dental assisting preferred, with knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Familiarity with Opendental software and Dexis is preferred
- HARP certified
- IPAC certification
- Solid understanding of dental terminology
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Certification is preferred but not required

Pay: $26.00-$28.00 per hour
